TLC's Craft Wars TV Show


Have you heard the news?

TLC's new series Craft Wars kicks off this evening!

GlueArts is proud to be apart of the official Craft Wars "Craft Closet!"

Our Glue Glider PRO+ was available to the crafters to use during the show season!

We'd like to give you a chance to win your own Glue Glider PRO+ Handle and Perma Tac Cartridge for your "Craft Closet". 

Simply post a comment with the name of one of the show judges and the name of the crafter who was asked to leave Craft Wars at the end of the first episode. (anotherwords they're not moving on in the competition)

We'll give you through this weekend and post the winner right here next Tuesday just in time for the next  Craft Wars show! Who knows...we might have our own craft war!

Operation Write Home


Join GlueArts as we support our friends at We R Memory Keepers and Operation Write Home!

We R Memory Keepers is trying to collect 50,000 cards, so they need need lots and lots of help. Cards can be submitted up until Tuesday July 24, 2012 at midnight.

They will pick cards to receive prizes each week on our Facebook page. We R Memory Keepers will pick the top 50 cards (at the end of the contest) to be voted on by our Facebook fans. Our Facebook will vote for each round until the final winner is chosen. 

Top 25 cards will receive a Power Punch
Top 10 cards will receive a Lucky 8 Punch
Top 5 cards will receive a Love 2 Craft collection
Top Card – We R Memory Keepers Product - up to $1,000 in product (prize value for top card will depend on the number of cards collected)

Create handmade greeting cards in the following categories: Love (Thinking of you, Missing you, Anniversary), Any Hero, Thank You, Birthday, Holiday, Get Well.

Be sure the card has either red, white or blue used on it...

Instructions:
1. Die cut tags from Dear Lizzy ruffle paper. Hole punch a circle in the top.

2. Adhere embellishments with GlueArts U-Cut-It Foam, and Raisen's.

3. Adhere buttons with GlueArts Adhesive Squares (Extreme Tac).

We're Celebrating "Dear Lizzy" and GlueArts!

Glue Arts Supplies:
Extreme Adhesive
Perma Tac
Glue Gun

Addtional Supplies:
American Crafts Dear Lizzy - paper, trim, stickers
Papertrey Ink - dies, stamps
Crate Paper - label
Melissa Frances - crepe paper
Want2Scrap - adhesive pearls
felt
ribbon
clothes pin
lace
stick pin
wooden spool
stick
wood clothes pin
paint
marker
rope
wire
fabric

How to Create:
1. Paint spool, clothes pin and stick with white paint. Using Glue Arts Glue Gun, adhere together.

2. Wrap fabric and ribbon around bottom of spool. Create two labels using American Craft stickers onto cardstock and add to spool using stick pin.

3. Die cut labels from cardstock and American Crafts paper. Stitch layers and adhere together using Glue Arts Perma Tac. Adhere to bottom of spool.

4. Add Extreme Adhesive to clothes pin and wrap pink trim and lace around to create dress. Tie on green ribbon.

5. Disassemble rope to create hair and add to top of clothes pin using Glue Arts glue gun.

6. Layer American Craft border sticker and burlap, stitch together and adhere to top of head using glue gun. Add wire crown.

7. Add eyes using a black fine tip marker.

8. Cut strips of crepe paper and adhere using glue gun to top of spool.
