Raisen's are great for adding a little 3-D dimension to all your scrappy projects. But did you know you can also create unique embellishments with the Raisen's, like my flower centers here? I'll show you how.

For my bird nest box, I used a recycled packaging box that I had been saving for just the right project. To get started, I took apart the box and spread it flat.

1. Trace the box template onto patterned paper and trim out. Cover the box with the patterned paper using Glue Arts High Tac Adhesive. Edge each section with brown ink.

2. Re-assemble the box using High Tac Adhesive and Extreme Adhesive Squares.

Fill box with shredded kraft paper strips.

Now let's create the flowers.

3. Punch lots of flowers using two different sized flower punches from vintage dictionary pages. For the largest flower, I used 4 large flowers and 2 small flowers. For the two smaller flowers, I used 4 small flowers.

4. Lightly spritz each flower with blue spray mist and allow to dry. Adhere flower layers together using Extreme Adhesive Squares. Apply a Glue Arts Raisen to the center of each flower.

5. Pour embossing powder over the Raisen.

6. Shake off excess embossing powder and heat set using an embossing tool. Allow embossing to cool for a minute before scrunching flower into desired shape.

7. Tie ribbon around the box. Adhere flowers to the center of the box. I used U Cut It Foam to affix the largest flower, and Raisen's to adhere the two smaller flowers.

8. Embellish with punched leaves, ruffled trim, and a big satin bow.
